There are a wide range of special group activities available to members of the RH Women’s Club. Enjoy the fun and get to know people who share your interests! If you missed the annual August Sip and Sign-up, interest groups with open spots will be available at the luncheon. Offerings for 2024 - 2025 are listed below. Watch for updates!

Beginner Bridge Lessons– Learn to play bridge. Meet Tuesdays 1:30-3:30PM at the River Hills Country Club. Session is 8 lessons @$10 pp per lesson.

Party Bridge – Fun party bridge played the fourth Wednesday of the month at 2:00PM at RHCC. First-time players $3 one-time supply fee. $2 for prize money each time playing.

Couples Bridge (beyond Beginner) – Couples bridge played the second Wednesday of the month at 7:00PM at RHCC. To be in this group, you must know how to play. Partners can be male or female and can be of different levels. Limited teaching may be provided to help play.

Book Club: Potpourri Readers - Enjoy a new book and engage in lively group discussions about what you have just read. Group will meet the first Thursday of the month at 2:30PM at the Lake Wylie Library. One-time fee of $5 for library donation. 2024-2025 Book List

Canasta (Beginners)- Join fellow card players for some fun canasta games. Meeting days and times to be determined.

Couples Dinner Group I– Meet new friends and try new restaurants in the area and Charlotte. New location every month selected by hostess. Gatherings are on the second Wednesdays of the month.

Couples Dinner Group II-Meet friends and try new restaurants in the area and Charlotte. Locations and date selected by hostess each month.

Dinner Divas - (THIS GROUP IS FULL FOR 2024-2025) Meets 4th Wednesday of each month at times TBD. Each member of the dinner group will take a certain month to plan on the place and time to meet for dinner. It certainly can be the RHCC or even a restaurant nearby in which to meet. Ladies, join for good food and conversation!

Drink of the Month Club – (THIS GROUP IS FULL FOR 2024-2025) Enjoy a mixed cocktail selected by that month’s hostess while socializing with friends. Members meet the third Wednesday of month from 4:30-6:00PM. Members contribute $5 and bring an appetizer to share.

Garden Club – Visit a wide range of area gardens, wineries and parks to increase understanding of how nature affects our lives. Meeting dates and specific schedule to be determined

Giveback Gals - Join “grateful women” to give back your time and talent to others. Chairman selects six community endeavors to help others such as group picking flowers at a local flower farm and delivering to seniors at local nursing homes. You will enjoy any or all six volunteer projects!

Happy Feet Hiking Club – Enjoy 2-4 mile walks on nearby hiking trails (easy to moderate difficulty) with family/friends welcome to join. Many hikes start or end near area restaurants for independent lunch and socializing. Various Sundays at noon October through May (No hike in Nov). Different location monthly with detailed start location and parking sent via email along with inclement weather announcements or delays.

Lunch Bunch I – Meet new friends and try area restaurants. Locations selected by monthly hostess. Meets the first Tuesday of the month. This group is currently full.

Mahjong – Exciting and challenging tile game –learn by playing. Experienced instructor will be available to teach. Meeting time and fee will be determined.

Mexican Train – Meet for friendly game play on the first Thursday of the month from 10AM-Noon at RHCC. Club members may stay to enjoy lunch at the conclusion.

Money Matters - Meet to learn and discuss finances, investments, and money management. Meeting dates and times TBD, depending on the program topic.

Photography Group - Learn to take better pictures with your smart phone by learning about photo composition, capturing the shot and the phone’s camera and editing capabilities. Meet one Monday a month from from March - September. Will include some indoor and outdoor photo taking as well as review and suggestions for improvement. Cost is $20 per person for the full session. Group size is limited to 20. (Note: First group is full. Based on interest, a second group may be added)

River Hills Ramblers – Members enjoy day and occasional overnight trips to places of interest all within driving distance. No meetings. Dates and times vary by activity. Joining fee $10 per person.

Rummikub - This game incorporates elements of rummy using both strategy and luck. Participants play tiles in sets and runs to get rid of their tiles. Both beginners and experienced players are welcome. Meetings will be on the first Weds of the month at 1:00PM at RHCC.

Spades - (THIS GROUP IS FULL FOR 2024-2025) Enjoy this trick-taking card game where spades are always the trump suit. Meet to play on the fourth Thursday of the month at 1:30PM in the Cove Room. The first 12 people to respond will play. Partners will be assigned and an even number of players is required.
