Sharon Amatetti
Sharon and her husband Ed moved to River Hills in June of 2023 from North Potomic, Maryland. She likes staying active and is interested in learning pickleball, volunteering at Sweet Repeat and exploring the offerings at the Lake Wylie Library. Sharon fell in love with the area during multiple visits with her daughter and family. She is recently retired from an active career as a public health professional. Welcome Sharon!

Kim Naumann
Kim and her recently retired husband Kevin have lived in River Hills for a total of 18 years. The first time they were here for 13 years and most recently, for 5 years. Kim is active in her church and stays busy visiting her children and grandchildren in Ohio and Texas. Originally from southern Illinois, Kim is keeping busy learning to play golf, reading and hanging out with friends. Welcome Kim!

Lois Carroll
Lois and her husband Bob have lived in River Hills for 15 years, relocating here from Mahopec, NY. She has two children and two grandchildren. Her activities include travel, tennis, bridge and cooking. When you meet her, ask about her interest in dollhouse shadow boxes. Welcome Lois!

Linda Seitz
Linda and her husband Larry are repeat River Hills residents having lived here for three years before relocating to Clemson for ten years and then returning here for the last nine years. When asked about herself, she replied, “ I thrive when I am active, whether it be working at home, attending Bible study, volunteering on a County board, or enjoying social activities. I am look forward to meeting club members I don’t already know and enjoying club activities.” Welcome Linda!

Nicole Womack
Nicole is a new resident of The Bluffs relocating here 3 months ago. Originally from New Orleans, she is enjoying her new home where she cares for two Maine Coons who she refers to as her ‘babies’, Nicole enjoys outdoor activities, reading, puzzles of all kinds, trail walking, traveling and horse back riding. Welcome Nicole!

Kim Bougie
Kim has been married to her husband Mark for 35 years and currently lives in The Palisades for the last 4 1/2 years. They moved from Lexington, KY when you hear Kim speak, you will know her home is really New England. She grew up outside of Boston. They have 3 grown children. No grandchildren yet…. they are patiently waiting! Kim enjoys people of all ages and being as active as possible. Pickleball, traveling, walking, movies, friends, my dog and family are at top of her list. She is considered a good cook however after so many years of it she is enjoying good restaurants even more!

Shirley MacMillan
Shirley and her husband Frank are River Hills residents originally from Ontario, Canada. They have two sons and two grandchildren. Her interests range from cooking and reading to exploring the mountains and playing bridge. Other hobbies that keep her busy include gardening, water aerobics, canning and making jams. Bev Thompson
Bev lives across the bridge in RiverPointe and just recently joined RHCC. She also joined the 9 hole WGA and is anxious to improve her game. Born in Chicago, she taught elementary school for over 40 years finishing her career with Clover Schools and Gaston Day. Bev lost her husband of 25 years to Covid last December after a year-long fight. She has 3 step kids, step- grandkids, a cat and spends a lot of time traveling and reading. Welcome Bev!

Maggie and her husband Chris are residents of River Hills and having lived in many, many places are happy to be here for the last 17 years. Maggie is originally from the UK and has many interests, spending time walking, reading and playing bridge. Welcome Maggie!

Denise and her husband Kevin relocated to the Palisades from Connecticut three years ago and have been enjoying their retirement. Denise stays busy with pickleball, golf reading and sewing. They have two daughters and a new pup, Riley. Welcome Denise!

Quinn Davidson
Quinn is a Charlotte native and excited to be living lake life in Clover. She and her husband Dennis are enjoying the renovation of their lake home which has been quite an undertaking! In addition to tennis and pickleball, Quinn enjoys bridge, bible study and travel. Welcome Quinn!

Margo moved to River Hills a year and a half ago and enjoys many of the activities including gardening, sports and walking in the area. She has three children and one grandchild. Please welcome Margo!

Barb moved to River Hills with her husband Dave 12 years ago and has enjoyed getting to know the area and community. They have two children and 4 grandchildren. In addition to reading, Barb is an accomplished fabric artist and looks forward to getting involved with RHWC. Welcome Barb!

Kathy is new to the area and lives in the Bluffs. She and her husband Bob moved here from NW Indiana and she is originally from Chicago. Recently retired, Kathy likes to stay busy. With one grandchild and two on the way, she will be busy! Gardening, boating and snow skiing round out her interests. Welcome Kathy!

Kerry stays pretty busy playing pickleball and connecting with friends. She and her husband Paul relocated from the Charlotte area to be on the lake and have lived in River Hills for two years. SHe is originally from Cincinnati and has three children and five grands! Welcome Kerry!

Pat lives in River Hills and has hopped around eight different states befor landing here in SC. She is a widow with three children, two of which live in the area and one in NJ. She has 7 grandchildren and likes to spend her free time painting and silversmithing along with gardening. Welcome Pat!

Barbara and her husband Tim have lived in River Hills for the past two years. She is originally from the OH/PA area but moved here from CA. She loves the trees, birds, nature and walking…being close to water! Her interests are abundant and she has a great sense of humor. Welcome Barbara!

Pat and her husband Jay Hussey have lived in River Hills for 10 years having relocated from Charlotte. Originally from Lexington KY, she has one child, two grandchildren and reading, walking, theater and day trading futures. We all hope she gets involved in our Money Matters interest group! Pat Varvel
Pat is a longtime resident of Lake Wylie having lived in River Hills while raising her family. She and her husband Jon currently live in Redwood and are proud of their three sons and seven grandchildren. Pat can often be found on the pickleball courts working on her game….but never in the kitchen.

Margaret has lived in Lake Wylie for 12 years have relocated here from Raleigh, NC which is her hometown. Margaret stays busy with tennis, pickleball and golf. As a retired veterinarian, she also does rescue work. She has four children and one grandchild. When she has time, she also enjoys reading. Welcome Margaret!

Jody and her husband John found their way to the Landings 14 years ago when they relocated from CA. Jody and John have 2 children and 8 grandchildren. In addition to her involvement in RHWC, she spends time playing golf, tennis and pickleball. When not outside playing, she enjoys bridge, spades and needlepoint. Welcome Jody!

Gretchen and her husband Peter have lived in RH for 7 years relocating from Naperville, IL. In addition to her work as a registered nurse, Gretchen keeps busy with her 4 children. She is active playing tennis, pickleball, hiking, camping and biking. Her enthusiasm is contagious and in her few extra minutes, she enjoys reading. Welcome Gretchen!

Bernadette and her husband Marc have lived in RH for two years relocating here from Rochester NY. She is originally from Indiana and is a sports enthusiast participating in tennis, golf, pickleball, board and card games. Recently she organized a Fantasy Football League for ladies. When not sporting, she likes to read. She spends the winter months in Jupiter, FL so welcome her soon!

Dean Barnes Bartruff
Dean moved to RH with her parents, Richard and Joan Barnes, when she was in college from the great state of Texas. She and her husband Eric have made their home in RiverPointe for the last 18 years and are building a new home on the lake. They have 3 children who are young adults and with her new time, she is taking up golf and pickleball. Dean brings a smile with her everywhere she goes and looks forward to getting involved in the various groups in the RHWC. Welcome Dean!

Caroline has many activities and interests that keep her busy. They inlcude slowly learning to play golf (her words), traveling, walking and light hiking, boating on the lake, reading and knitting. She is married to Jerry and has lived in RH for 30 years. A native of Charlotte, Caroline is momma to her sweet diva dog, Bella Rose. Welcome Caroline!

Mary McManus-Guba
Mary moved to RH with her husband Alex 18 years ago from Maryland. She has a wide variety of interests including travel, pickleball, TaiChi/Qigong, snow skiing, walking, boating and reading. She particularly likes biographies and historical fiction. You can often find Mary playing with her dogs. She is a retired psychotherapist. Mary has 4 children and 3 grandchildren. Welcome Mary!

Vickie and her husband John have lived in River Hills for 40 years! You can often find Vickie engaged in some of her favorite activities including pickleball, travel, bridge and reading. Yvonne is a relative newcomer to RH having lived here for 2 years. She and her husband Rick learned of the area when visiting friends and decided they wanted to make it their home leaving Canton, OH. She has 4 children and 8 grandchildren; visitng all of them as often as possible. When not traveling for work or family visits, she loves to play golf, and do charitable work. Originally from Western PA, she is happy to be a member of RHWC. Welcome Yvonne!

Cindy and her husband Rob bought their home in River Hills in 2006 and finally moved here in 2018. She grew up in Upstate NY and has lived in China and Vancouver before moving to RH. She has interest in riding and showing horses, women’s and children’s rights, speaking Mandarin and meeting new people. Bridge anyone? CIndy is interested in learning!

Susan, along with her husband Woody have lived in various locations around the area settling in to Fort Mil. SHe is originally from Louisville KY and has two children, a daughter in Austin, TX and a son attending The CItadel. Susan stays busy as a realtor with Compass Realty and when not working, she enjoys time at the beach, playing pickleball and gardening. Recently, she has taken up Mahjong. Welcome Susan!

Like many others, she started her journey in the NY area (Hudson River Valley) and lived in Charlotte before making her home here. Shannon is a retired elementary school teacher and loves to sing and travel. SHe moved here with her husband Robert from the NE area of Indiana where she spent most of her life. Lisa has rsided in River Hills with her husband Gene for 26 years. They are originally from NJ and still visit family ‘back home’ frequently. Gene and Lisa have 5 children, 7 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild! When not on the golf course, you can find Lisa playing pickleball, and bridge. She also enjoys reading.
